Nicole was inspired to teach yoga after practicing at an ashram in India in 2008. She received her 200 hour instructor certification in Hatha Yoga in Feb 2009 and David Swenson’s 40 hour Ashtanga Teacher Training (Primary Series) in Feb 2010. Nicole grew up in Connecticut but lived outside of the US for over nine years, including locations in Europe, the Middle East and Canada, before returning and settling on Aquidneck Island in 2010.
Nicole graduated from West Point and served as an officer in the US Army for five years. After completing her commitment to the Army, she lived and worked as a civilian for an infrastructure company in Qatar and Kuwait. Nicole decided to change the course of her career path and after her time in India, focused on teaching yoga and expanding her international life-coach practice. Nicole is trained in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Prenatal Yogaand Ashtanga Yoga. Nicole also has experience teaching yoga to discipline-challenged teenagers as well as introducing Yoga & Meditation to Soldiers with PTSD.
Nicole received prenatal training during her Hatha yoga certification and completed a pre-natal course with Michelle Cormack. She learned yoga Nidra and Meditation techniques while studying in India that she uses in the class. Nicole provides a positive, safe, peaceful environment to connect with your pregnancy through yoga. Her teaching style strengthens and opens the body while relieving any tension the body is holding onto.
