Join Patti Confort and Patti Doyle in exploring the benefits of twists and balance in this active and informative workshop. 
Without a daily practice of twists, the side body tends to be restricted, as if there were guard-rails along the side trunk. Freeing the side body along the waist is key to opening the core area of the psoas, achieving support in uddiyana bandha, and opening the breath. So necessary in holding a balancing pose as well; whether it be standing, seated, or on our bellies.
This workshop aims to free up the stomach girdle, ribs, obliques, intercostal muscles and diaphragm through side bends and twists, and then bask in the beauty of balance with near effortless ease once those regions of the body respond to the twists, and to the breath. We will practice in supine, seated and standing positions. Mostly asana, some lecture. Handout material provided. |
