Meridian Yoga is a system for identifying and directing energy for health and vitality. Electromagnetic energy traditionally called prana, chi, ki, lifeforce, imbues the entire body and essentially animates each of us and all of life. Meridian lines travel in 14 distinct patterns. Altogether the meridian lines form one flowing, continuous circuit that brings lifeforce to every cell in the body. This workshop will introduce the meridian lines alongside yoga forms and acupressure points that activate each meridian.

First we will take a wide view in order to understand the philosphy from which the meridian system developed including the principles of Yin Yang and Five Element Theory. Our study will create a map that organizes the meridians according to season, organ pairs and personal conditions. Our experiential work will include asana and acupressure specific to each meridian.
