Kate is a graduate of the Ashtanga influenced training program taught at the YogaLoft (Sheboygan, WI) and is registered RYT 200 with the Yoga Alliance. She is also certified in Relax and Renew with Judith Lasater and participated in Therapeutic Anusara training with Todd Norian. Other studies include workshops with Rod Stryker, David Kiel and Julie Gudmestad. Kate recently returned to New England from the Midwest where she had been teaching for the University of Minnesota, the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul and the YogaLoft.
Kate discovered yoga several years ago as a way to manage the stresses of a full-time career in human resources while raising two very active boys. She initially found that yoga significantly improved her ability to rest, and as she developed a regular practice that breath work on and off the mat helped her through even the most difficult times. Kate teaches mindfully with student safety, comfort and understanding at the forefront. She continually varies her classes to create unique and challenging experiences for students of all abilities, ages, shapes and sizes. Throughout, Kate provides clear instructions, offers alternative poses to meet all levels and assists with proper alignment. Her intention is to have students move mindfully and peacefully through their practice.
