Susan Lewis recently completed her 200 YTTfrom the Pranotthan Yoga School, a Kripalu-based training, at All That Matters Studio in Wakefield RI.
Although, she has been practicing yoga intermittently for fifteen years, she became seriously committed to her own personal practice four years ago, as an alternative and successful healing method for a neck injury. Since then, she has benefited and awakened to the many gifts of a consistent yoga practice: a more relaxed state of being, better posture and core strength, and an overall feeling of “being back in her body” and connected. Her training and subsequent teaching emphasize the importance of using the breath as one moves through asanas and meditation, guiding the body and mind to cultivate inner awareness and move into stillness. Her classes are moderate to slow-flowing, designed to embrace students’ various individual capabilities by offering modifications, extensions and varying ranges of motion. Most of all, she seeks to share the healing benefits of yoga to others.
