Lauren Smith

A yoga practice has been part of Lauren’s life for nearly 20 years. Rehabilitating after a sports injury brought her to the practice. During that rehabilitation she found the combination of movement and grounding that she needed to balance her active lifestyle. Yoga strengthened her body and activated a mindfulness that allowed her to focus on her athletic interests as well as her lifestyle.

The practice was so beneficial to her life it led her to teacher training. She has been teaching a variety of types of yoga to a variety of ages for more than a decade. In sharing this practice she continues to learn from her students and is grateful to share the benefits of the practice with them.

Lauren’s classes are informative, inspiring and appropriately challenging. Classes enhance balance and strengthen the body and spirit. Her students find a bit of inner peace while enjoying a mild practice.

Lauren received her 200 hr Yoga Training and Yin training from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA. Additionally, she has completed the first module of Restorative training from All That Matters in Wakefield RI.
