Janne Roehm

Janne Roehm has been teaching yoga at Innerlight since 1998. Her first 200 hour training was the first yoga teacher training taught at Innerlight, so long ago that Yoga Alliance did not yet exist. Her first class at Innerlight was Restorative Yoga. She has also taught Ashtanga yoga, Beginner Yoga, Anusara Yoga, and All-Levels Yoga at Innerlight. Her current class is Building Bones and Balance, which is based on Dr. Fishman’s Method of Yoga for Osteoporosis.
Janne is the co-developer and co-director with Kim Chandler of the 200 Hour Innerlight Yoga Teacher Training. She co-created and co-led 3 Innerlight yoga retreats to St John USVI. She also was the yoga teacher for 8 years for the Newport Hospital Enough is Enough lifestyle change program. She has taught yoga in yoga studios, homes, schools, barns, parks, on islands and in the woods.
Janne’s training includes a second 200 hour with Todd Norian. She has also studied with Kim Chandler, Tom Gillette, Ann Greene, John Friend, Doug Keller, Martin Kirk, Jenny Otto, Judith Lasater, Betsey Downing, Ray Long, MD and Sharon Salzburg. She was recently certified by Dr Fishman and Ellen Saltonstall in Yoga for Osteoporosis, and is also certified in Warm Water Yoga by Terry Roth Schaff.
More than two decades of studying and teaching yoga has taught her that yoga is a very individual practice; we all find our way by learning to listen to what our bodies and deeper wisdom tells us. Her yoga classes are known for weaving wise alignment, philosophy and humor.
